Upcycling is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality, such as bio-solvent from agricultural wastes, bio-surfactant or bio-cosmetic ingredient from low grade edible oil, eco-wood coating and natural fertilizer from palm oil industry wastes.
