Hydrogen fuel is one of new cornerstones of sustainable energy production in our modern society. The energy-dense molecular hydrogen is a promising candidate offering much higher energy than that of the gasoline and its production has drawn vast interest from academic and industrial sectors. The project involves the synthesis and development of hybrid catalytic materials derived from quantum dot and polymer dot. The materials are anticipated to sensitize under photoirradiation, of which would generate electron/energy for hydrogen production in aqueous media.
